2020 Green Superintendent's Revenge
The past two years tournament was much different than our past Superintendent's Revenge tournaments, in the past we set the course up long and put the pins in very difficult spots. This year and last year Dave Mosbacher and his wife Vielka really got into the spirit of the event and set up some great obstacles. A few are pictured bellow, but this does not include everything they setup. They had tractors blocking the front of greens, holes that were not set all the way down, leaving a plastic hole liner a 1/4 inch above the surface, they had a hole with 5 holes and you had to put into the middle hole, if you accidentally make your putt in the wrong hole it was a 2 stroke penalty. If you missed this years event you missed a lot of fun. Dave said he has even more ideas for next fall.
See some of the wacky course set up this year and past years in the pictures bellow.
If you miss one of the hole your ball rolled off the green.
Close up shot of three holes
Half moon garden on # 9. If you missed the green left of this garden you had to putt around it to get to the hole.
Vielka's # 9 garden hole.
You had to putt around them.
If you were above the hole you at least could not putt off the green, but if you were below it chipping our putting you had to get it over the hose.
This was a play on a turf disease called "dollar spot" that most course see during warm wet periods.
