The Best Holes at Elkdale

Hole #4
A 169 yard par 3 wins for beauty and difficulty. For your better player its a mid iron out of narrow chute of trees, over a pond and a small creek, to a dime size green protected by a pond and trees left and a drainage ditch long of the green. The safe play is any ball on the front of the green.

Hole #15
The Fifteenth wins for its length. 555 yard par 5 dog leg right, with your tee shot normally into the wind. A pond protects the right side long hitters will bite off as much as they dare with their tee shots, those who bite off to much will either end up wet or out of bounds which runs the entire length of the right side of the hole. This green is rarely hit in two, yet with a good second shot a short iron or wedge is all that is needed. The green is deceptively hard and small making it difficult to hit and hold a shot, along with making a putt no easy task because of the subtle breaks in the green.

Hole #16
Number 16 wins for intimidation to the golfer. A long par 3 215 yards from the back tee normally into the wind. A long iron or fairway wood and sometimes a driver is needed to reach the green. Out of bounds and a lateral hazard on the right forces most players to aim left. Hit it over the green it is a sure bogey, the green slopes considerably from back to front making the chip shot from over the green difficult to get close to the pin, let alone keeping your ball on the green.
